I’m still having fun with The Body Shop Shade Adjusting Drops

A while back I showed off The Body Shop’s new Shade Adjusting Drops and I’m particularly taken with the lightning ones. I get sent a lot of foundation and many of them are too dark for me, especially now that it’s winter, and they do a great job of lightning them up without sheering out their coverage factor.

These guys are R300 a pop and a bottle will last you forever.

Still, that’s not all you can do. If you’ve got a stash of liquid or cream cosmetics – think liquid lippies or cream blush – you can alter their shades in a way that gives you up to three times the colour options. Case in point? Get a load of this mooi Revlon Ultra HD Matte lip colour.

This is shade's called Passion, a deep berry colour that looks really good on as is.

Passion!
Passion!

However, if I mix it up with The Body Shop’s lightener…

Just a drop!
Just a drop!

…it immediately transforms into a pretty bubblegum pink!

Ta da!
Ta da!..

..

Can you say candy yum yum?
My housemate walked in as I snapped this and went ‘Ooh, nice colour!’ and I got to go ‘Thanks, I made it myself’. Ha!

If you’ve got The Body Shop’s shade adjusting gem living in your beauty arsenal don’t limit yourself to just using it with foundation. Have fun and discover a whole new world of colours to play with.

Love, love

Leigh
