Chocoholics listen up; Bobbi Brown has just launched their new Rich Chocolate collection. As we’re lucky enough in SA to get Bobbi’s new goodies at the same time everyone else in the world does, it’s actually an ‘autumn’ collection but, as smouldering browns, nudes and the odd dollop of pink never go out of style, I’m quite sure you’re going to find something to love, spring be damned.

While the line-up includes limited edition blushes, lipsticks, lip gloss, a cream shadow stick, a gel eye liner, an eye pencil and Extreme Party mascara all in new shades, the ‘purple Quality Street’ in this particular chocolate box is the limited edition Rich Chocolate eye palette (R725).

The shadows are a nice mix of textures that range from matte (Bone, Stone, Frappe and Cocoa) to shimmer washes (Champagne Truffle) and sparkling (Caramel). Bobbi’s pick of the box, however is a zexy dark shade called Rich Chocolate which can double as an eyeliner.
While it’s not exactly easy on the pocket, these are the kind of colours you could easily wear every day. No weird, useless splash of turquoise to add a bit of zing to the palette over here. Oh no. It’s all easy-to-wear chocolatey awesomeness.
After attending the launch, I was given one of the collection’s lip glosses in a new shade called Pale Pink (R260).

Like all of Bobbi’s glosses, this one’s infused with hydrating avo, jojoba and chamomile oils plus soothing aloe extract.
If you’re looking for the perfect sophisticated baby pink, one that isn’t bubblegummy in the least, this limited edition is a goodie. It’s fabulously versatile in that you can wear it on its own or use it to lighten up a darker lip stain.
To check out the collection pop on over to a Bobbi Brown counter at your nearest Edgars. And if it’s the Rich Chocolate palette you’re after, best you move fast. Once it’s sold out, that’s it. As it is, it’s already sold out online in the UK.
Love, love

lovely colours with Bobbi brown
I really want to get the eyeshadow palette but I’m not sure how wonderful the shadows themselves are. I haven’t read anybody raving about it. Don’t suppose you have tried it or know someone who has an opinion before I she’ll out R725?
Luuurve the new shadows, tried them with the new sparkle dust vibe for a smoky eye at Bobbi counter in V&A. Lasted all night with a primer and still looked fresh. Also love that their actual shadows don’t get “gunky” over time, stays useable for ages so you don’t feel ripped off over price. R725 is steep, but around R100 a colour for a super practical palette so not tooooooo bad.
I’d try them at the counter Mother City mom and then decide to buy.
Thanks for this!
