I went swatch crazy with GOSH Cosmetics AND I’m giving away a hamper of them worth of R700

PETA-approved, pocket friendly and yet top quality, there’s lots to love about Danish beauty brand GOSH Cosmetics (exclusive to Edgars and Red Square). I was recently sent a bunch of their goodies to play with and, for me, the stars of the show have to be their Forever Shadow eye shadow sticks (R160).

They’re available in both matte and metallic finishes.

If you’re a regular reader you’ll know I’ve mentioned my love of these guys before. The pigmentation is great, they glide on like a dream and then stay put. If you’ve got oily-combo skin like me, however, use a primer beforehand. This way, whatever look you create will sit tight from dusk til dawn with zero creasing.

Wanna get swatchy?

The mattes from left to right: Dark Grey, Dark Brown, Twisted Brown and Nougat.

..

And now for the metallics: Green, Plum, Blue, Grey, Silver Rose (more of a pale gold if you ask me) and Beige.

When you draw with them the colour’s pretty intense but they all soften up when you blend them out.

This is a dash of Plum stroked on as well as blended out. It gives you a nice idea of the pigmentation and blendability.

Of all the hues, these guys are my favourites…

Going clockwise: A wash of Twisted Brown with Dark Grey; Green and Plum. (You’ll notice Green is more satiny while Plum is more sparkly.)

The mascara I’m wearing is GOSH Catchy Eyes mascara (R155). The name is pretty apt as the plastic short bristle wand does a good job of grabbing and separating each and every lash and, because the formula’s a bit elastic, it extends a bit too. A nice pick for anyone who likes a very defined look.

I’m also glad I got to try GOSH Primer Plus Illuminating Skin Perfector (R255). While it contains silicone, it’s not riddled with it so it didn’t aggravate my oily T-panel, so I’d happily recommend it to anyone with a combination skin type. Also, I like that it’s got a slight tint to it so there’s zero chance you’ll end up looking ashy. (I know primers can be an ‘ish’ for those with darker skin tones if they leave a cast.) Lastly, while it says ‘illuminating’, don’t you worry, chica, there’s zero sparkle going on over here! It merely diffuses the look of fine lines and pores and makes for a super smooth foundation application.

When this blends out you can’t see it at all – your skin just looks smoother and more refined.

I was given three lipsticks (R140 each) too.

You’re looking at GOSH Velvet Touch Matt lipstick in Cranberry, Velvet Touch lipstick in Nude and Velvet Touch Matte lipstick in Classic Red.

The matte colours go on smoothly, don’t feel like they’ll dry out your lips or separate into lines. (Anyone who’s tried a rubbish matte lippie will know exactly what I mean by that.) The non-matte nude lippie is sheer but buildable with a creamy-finish.

Anyway, let’s get a GOSH face on, shall we? My first look is a daytime one.

I’m wearing the primer plus Twisted Brown and Dark Grey shadow sticks on my eyes along with Catchy Eyes mascara and Velvet Touch Matte lipstick in Cranberry.

And here’s an evening one…

Again, I’m wearing the primer, the Plum shadow stick, Catchy Eyes mascara and a mix of the Plum and Nude lipsticks on my lips.

You like?

Now let’s get to the part I know you’re waiting for… I’ve got a GOSH Cosmetics hamper you could win worth R700 and entering is easy. Simply leave a comment below telling me which look you prefer, day or night.

There are two other ways you can enter too. Hit me up on Twitter with ‘Hey @lipglossgirl, I’d love to win a @GOSH_SA hamper!’ and include the link to this post.

Lastly, I’m running the comp on my new Facebook page too so head on over!

This comp is open to SA residents only. I’ll be drawing a winner using all three pools on Friday the 9th of June 2017 and will announce who it is on my Facebook page so keep an eye out. Speaking of Facebook, to learn more about GOSH Cosmetics you can check out theirs too.

Good luck girls!

Love, love

Leigh

This competition is now closed. A big congrats to winner Charmaine Bairaj.
