Good new MAC Cosmetics fans; the brand’s website now boasts an online store that delivers to anywhere in SA. Currently, they’re running an introductory special that serves up FREE standard delivery on all orders. To help promote the launch of the store, MAC gave myself and a bunch of media peeps a very generous R400 voucher to blow in the store.
While browsing, I was impressed by how easy it was to navigate. You can shop by new collection, look for specific products or browse their bestsellers. Payment is super easy too; either via credit card or PayU, a safe payment gateway that accepts both credit and debit cards.
After a big debate as to whether I should stock up on my beloved MAC Blot powder (the best thing in the world to blitz an oily T-panel without disturbing your make-up or caking up on your skin) or get a new eye shadow brush I decided to go for the latter; MAC’s 217.
It’s a medium-sized bullet-shaped brush that I initially thought might be a bit too big but, as it turns out, it does a fab job of placing the shadow on your lid and then blending it in your crease using a windscreen wiper motion.
I also threw in a nice, neutral shimmery brown shadow called Tempting; the perfect every day ‘wear it all over your entire eyelid like a wash’ kinda shade.
After two or three business days (I’ve forgotten exactly how many), my order was couriered directly to my door. Easy peasy!
If you’re keen to shop up a storm in MAC but don’t live near a store, this is a freakin’ God send. Alternatively, if like me, you’re often to busy to pop into a mall, it’s a fabulous convenience. But either way, if you’re keen to shop, best you move fast. The introductory free deliver offer isn’t going to last forever.
