I you’re a regular reader, you might remember that the last Shisiedo lip product I tried (and adored) was the fabulous Lacquer Rouge, is a highly pigmented non-drying liquid lipstick. However, their latest lip goodie, Rouge Perfect, is regte egte lipstick and yes, it is indeed perfect.

I was given a Rouge Perfect lippie in a gorgeous, universally flattering rose pink shade called Ballet. I love that, like Lacquer Rouge, it’s incredibly pigmented; you only need one sweep to get the colour you’re after. It has the most gorgeous creamy, almost wet-looking finish but doesn’t slide off your lips too quickly.

As far as the formulation goes, Shiseido have added red illuminating pearl into the mix. This doesn’t mean all shades have a red tint or reflect or anything like that. It merely serves to lend each shade a vivid brilliance.
The lippies are also formulated with water-binding hyaluronic acid to hydrate and pump your lips and something called Super Hydro-Wrap Vitalizing DE, an advanced hydrolipid that creates a protective veil over your lips to lock in their new found lushness.
Next time you find yourself near a Shiseido counter please do give them a bash. If you’re after a creamy, dreamy luxurious-feeling lipstick that makes a real impact, Rouge Perfect is your baby.
Love, love
Leigh
UPDATE: Oooh hello! Just like Stila’s Colour Balm lippie, Rouge Perfect is creamy and pigmented enough to double up as a lekker cream blush. Love that.
