Pioneered by the British navy, NATO straps are now having a real moment in the fashion world. This is why I didn’t hesitate to say yes when luxury Swedish watch brand Daniel Wellington asked if I’d like one of their elegant time pieces.
It took me a while to pick out the watch I wanted as everything was so gorgeous-looking but I knew I wanted rose gold and eventually settled on a ladies’ Classic Oxford. The red and navy strap has racked up a LOT of compliments!

As it turns out, you can buy Daniel Wellington watches locally but the prices have been seriously jacked up. If you snap it up directly from Daniel Wellington’s international site (shipping is free) you can save about a grand and a half.
Also, if you’re wondering, Daniel Wellington ship directly to your door via UPS and handle any taxes for you.
Now I don’t mean to get all Verimark shopping channel on you, but wait, it gets better! If you use the unique shopping code that DW have given me (LIPGLOSSDW) you’ll get an extra 21 dollars off. This means you’re looking at a very cool R1 764. Also, if you place your order before 16 June you’ll get to pick out an extra NATO strap for free! Guess who’s not going to toss and turn at night like I did, wondering if they should’ve gone for one of these boys.

Happy shopping girls!
Love, love

The navy and red strap is really lovely 🙂 Good choice!
Thanks hun!
This is music to my ears! Been wanting one of these babies for like evuh but by the time I woke up, the prices had soared in SA. The free shipping is also a huge plus but I was uncertain about duties and I’ve been caught horribly in the past so I called UPS in CT and there’s no custom’s duty – how marvellous is that?! – just VAT @ 14% and a clearance fee of R119-70. This fee was based on the watch I want at $153. Checked out the local price while I was at it and it’s R3899 + R799 for the additional (freebie) strap. Excuse me while I go place my order.
Hi how long does shipping take? I want to get one for my boyfriends birthday this is such a great buy.
Hi hun! I got mine within 10 working days (I think it was 7, can’t remember for sure) but you never really know with our weirdo PO.
Dhahini, I received mine in 5 days and the UPS delivery guy told me the shipment is done overnight from Hong Kong so it would’ve been sooner if not for the weekend…no deliveries on Sat & Sun.
Amazing! Thanks Charmaine 🙂
