If you live in Cape Town and haven’t been to Madame Zingara’s Theatre of Dreams you need to make a plan. Aside from an amazing four-course dinner, you’re also treated to an awe-inducing show featuring contortionists, tumblers, aerial artists and lots of quirky cabaret.
In a bid to sprinkle a bit of glitter across all of South Africa, the uber-restaurant’s has teamed up with Clicks to create a fantastical make-up collection inspired by the razzle and dazzle of the circus. This includes make-up and nail kits, cosmetic bags, a brush set, feather hair accessories and more.
To celebrate the launch, Clicks treated a bunch of us ‘beauties’ to a dinner at Madame Zingara to see their hot new show, Ever After. Having seen the previous show, it’s clear they’ve aimed for bigger, better and even more over the top. For example, instead of just one contortionist, they now have two!
Food-wise, blogger bestie Karisa (who was my date) and I didn’t think twice when it came to ordering; the chocolate chili steak is always out of this world. A thing of legend, you’re looking at dark Belgian chocolate with a dash of rosemary and chilli poured over a succulent piece of fillet on a bed of rocket and mushrooms. (You have no idea how badly I’m craving it now having typed that sentence.)
If you want to check out Madame Zingara’s new make-up line, pop into Clicks as it’s sitting in stores right now. Want to see the show? Simply enter my competition.
Win! Win! Win!
Want to win a dinner for two at Madame Zingara’s Theatre of Dreams? It includes a welcome drink, dinner and a show but any other drinks and gratuity will be for your own tab.
As Madame Zingara’s pretty much booked up until forever (after *ha!*), the date of this particular prize dinner is the 24th of November and can’t be changed. If you win and you’re not based in Cape Town, you’ll be responsible for your own transport.
To enter, drop me an email on email@example.com with ‘Madame Zingara’ in the heading. That’s all it takes to enter. The competition closes on Wednesday, the 13th of November, at 5pm after which I’ll be drawing a winner using a random number generator.
Not feeling so lucky? Go buy tickets yourself mos. They range between R410 and R495 but you better move fast as the last show is on the 18th of Jan and then the tent moves on to Jozi.
Good luck girls,
