I have created so many bloody ‘awesome Christmas gift idea’ articles and supplements for various mags in the last few months that, now that Christmas is finally on our doorstep I’m feeling decidedly grinchy. In fact, I spent most of this avie on Travel Start as I’m this close to jumping on a plane to Koh Samui. My idea of celebrating the birth of baby Jesus involves cocktails that have umbrellas in them.
But ja… I have been sent some gorgeous press releases and products relating to Christmas gift mooiness and thought I’d best share the love and do it soon before the malls become even more unbearable.
First up, we’ve got this li’l darling:

Girls, this works out to R26 a gloss. That can’t be right, right? This is what it says on the press release but the moment I hit ‘publish’ I’m going to wait for someone to call in and tell me that that’s the wrong price. I mean come now; that’s crazy good value!
Another luxurious bargain? It hails from my beloved Crabtree & Evelyn:

Six mini 25g Hand Therapy hand creams? Yes please! Divvie up the pack and pop each cream into a gift basket with a zexy li’l La Senza thong and a slab of Lindt and you’ve got the ultimate ‘thanks for being an awesome BFF’ gift right there. You don’t give away the Gardener’s Hand Therapy variant though. Ever. That’s the ultimate handbag staple and something you always keep for yourself.
More holiday fabulosity?

I was lucky enough to be spoiled with this pretty palette and can assure the shadows are all silky smooth, nicely pigmented and all you need to create a sexy-looking smokey eye to rock the party season.
Oooh and let’s not forget about this boy:

For more info on the kit, you can read my review over here.
Last but not least, let’s not forget about LUSH. (God, how many l’s were in that sentence?!) They’ve got an amazing array of beautifully wrapped pressies catering to all budgets.

I’ve just spotted this ‘White Christmas’ gift set on the company’s UK site and hope it’s available here in SA:

See that heart-shaped thing? That’s Soft Coeur, a massage bar that feels like heaven on your skin and smells like white chocolate. The soap is one of their most popular; Honey I Washed The Kids. To me, it smells like Horlicks, honey and puppy tummies! I’m also dying to try that new popcorn-scented lip scrub.
Anyway, here’s hoping I’ve given you a little inspirasie in regards to Christmas gift shopping.
Love, love
Leigh
Hi Leigh!
Sorry for the unrelated comment, didn’t know what else to ask you, but please delete it afterwards if you wish. You once mentioned an excellent hairdresser that comes to ones house, could you please give me a number of her or details.
Sorry again!
Thank you kindly,
Candice
Hi Candice
No worries and sorry to only get back to you now. Are you perhaps talking about Chantal? I mentioned her in a behind the scenes post on a shoot with Playboy bunnies. Here’s the link to her FB page: http://www.facebook.com/HairAffairSA
Cheers,
Leigh
Yessss! That is her, Leigh!
Thank you SO very much, appreciate you so much.

I went to Woolworths to get the Stila lip glaze (not for christmas gifts – totes not sharing!) But a sales lady told me the set was R310 😦
Maybe I should go back and double check?
