You know I adore I Love My Laundry, right? For those who don’t know, they’re a rad little eatery/laundromat/gallery space in Buitenkant street.

I popped in their earlier this evening with two friends to abuse their awesome dim sum and vino/coffee special. For a mere R40 you can get eight pieces of delish dim sum plus either a coffee and a glass of wine. We all made a point of ordering different dim sum so we could try a bit of everything but unanimously decided that Kim Chee was the winner. (It’s cabbage and horse-radish which sounds vile but when you taste it you’ll die a little death. So good!)

In fact, we were all so impressed with Mr Chee that we each ordered another round. (Without the vino it’s just R30.) You also get a whole whackload of different sauces on the table to play with; think sweet and sour, mango, sweet chilli, soya etc.

If you’re in the area, pop in and try it. And don’t forget to indulge in a block of zexy pistachio fudge for dessert.
