Busy, busy, busy

Hi girls

Many of you have been sending me e-mails asking for one on one beauty advice on everything from which foundation you should buy to choosing a facial before your wedding. While I love helping you out and am totally flattered when you ask, I’ve gotten to the stage when I’m now just too busy to reply to and each and every one of you. A lot of the time your questions are very open-ended and can’t be answered with a simple sentence.

Need... more... coffee...

So, from now on, please don’t mail me regarding individual feedback… and don’t hate me if you do and I don’t reply. When I’m less panicky regarding my magazine deadline’s I’ll sit down and whip up a FAQ  page, but in regards to everything else, you’ll just have to read my blog. Also, many of the things you ask me have already been answered in older posts, i.e. ‘I’ve woken up with a monster spot… how do I zap it within 24 hours?’ (Short answer: an astringent like Innoxa Spot Drops if it’s got a head… a hard-hitting retinoid like Differin gel if it’s blind…)

And another thing… Many of you want to know what I personally use. As in what’s my favourite mascara… or what do I consider to be the best hair masque etc, etc. Thing is, I could tell you, but what works for me may well not work for you. We’ve all got different skin types and natural preferences in regards to different textures, scents, packaging etc. So please understand that just because I use and like something myself it doesn’t make it ‘the best’ or ‘the product you should be using too’. I mean for heaven’s sake, 95% of my reasoning as to why I’m crazy for Spieza’s floral skin toner is because it smells like the bokkie pellet-making shed on our family farm…

So ja… I’m always happy to review things and offer up my opinion, but please remember it’s only ever just that. And to recap what I said about one on one advice; I would if I could, but I can’t. And please don’t hate my guts as a result. Asseblief

Love, love

Leigh
