The other day I popped into Jo Malone in the V&A to get a sniff of their new limited edition London Blooms collection. Check it out:

The first, Iris & Lady Moore, is a ‘fresh-spicy’ blend of geranium and powdery iris on a grassy vetiver base. I wasn’t a big fan as I found it a bit musty. (For the record, everyone else told me I was full of kak.)

As for White Lilac & Rhubarb, I initially thought it was a bit too sweet but when I sniffed it on Lauren from Dearheart Beauty, I changed my mind. She’s crazy for florals I can understand why; they really work on her skin.

I did, however, really like the last scent; Peony & Moss. To me it doesn’t smell mossy at all and I have no clue what peony smells like. Instead, I get greenalicious fresh cut roses. Super fresh, totally feminine and very easy to wear.

After a few bubbles and a big ass cupcake…

…I was treated to a super relaxing hand massage using Jo Malone Grapefruit body lotion finished up by a few spritzes of Peony & Moss. (Jo Malone is big into fragrance combining and layering, just so you know. And if you want a hand massage of your own, you’re welcome to pop into their ‘tasting bar’ and ask…)

The spoils didn’t stop there, I’m afraid. Upon leaving, I was gifted with the most gorgeous Jo Malone Red Roses diffuser, R595. 

They’ll be available as of next month and Marius, the store manager, reckons it’ll make ‘the perfect Mother’s Day gift’. Hell, I can’t imagine ANY woman, a mom or not, not appreciating it.

Anyway, after living it up in Jo Malone, myself and my fellow beauties got led upstairs to Edgar’s Bobbi Brown where the pampering continued. I don’t have time to fill you in on that now, but will do so before the end of the week in another post…
