The other day I attended a Twilight-themed get together at the Pepper Club hotel on Loop hosted by the peeps from Eclipse PR. (They’ve got quite a few beauty-related clients including Pantene, Wella and Scott Cornwall.) Still, getting up and putting on my glam-face was a bit of a mission that morning as I’d virtually drowned in a jug of frozen margarita the night before. I’m super glad I did though because A) the Eclipse folk are fab and take online media pretty seriously and B) they had killer cupcakes!

The venue was also utterly fab in that we had the entire penthouse suite all to ourselves. Just get a load of the bathroom…

Oooh and how’s this for service: being a complete brat, I’d tweeted about how my head was going to explode and that I hoped to God the Pepper Club made a decent bloody Mary… and looky looky… one magically manifested!

Anyway, like I said, the event had a Twilight theme (Eclipse… get it?) and this extended to having our very own ‘Edward’ present in the form of Roan, a local model. Naturally, I wasted no time in dragging him off to the bedroom for a quick semi-vampiresque photoshoot…

But ja… getting back to the bash… after a bit of schmingling and yet more cupcake munching, myself and my fellow ‘beauties’ all left with big fat goodie bags filled to bursting with products from Eclipse’s many clients. The one I’m most impressed with right now is Scott Cornwall. As I type, I’ve got someone trialing his Str8 Forward hair straightening kit. (It’s only R160 from Clicks and kinda like a mini-Brazilian in a box.) So far she’s super impressed and I’ll have a full review for you before the end of the week.
Thanks Eclipse, this was a fun, much appreciated morning – as for Pepper Club, I’ll be back…
Love, love
