Again, this was something I spotted while at the Only One event…

Dana used to work for Operation S’mile, but now she’s aiming to be a writer. She’s a lucky girl in that she’s pulled a bit of a Jessica Simpson – befriending an awesome hair stylist who can glam you up at the drop of a hat. (We all know Jess doesn’t go anywhere without hairmaster Ken Paves…)

Anyhoo, I think her ‘do is absolutely divine. According to her stylist, Mario, it’s ‘Marilyn inspired’.

Mario has his own salon, Mario’s Comany, in Green Point. The super exclusive tylist says he doesn’t really advertise and prefers to works via word of mouth so as to attract a certian type of clientelle. (Doesn’t this make you want to sit in his chair even more?)

He used a bionic flat iron to create the curls and set it with REF 434 spray wax. ‘It’s amazing’, he says. ‘It’s a salon product from Sweden. You can find it in most salons’.
