A little back myself and two beauty besties, Lauren from Dearheart Beauty and Emmy from Rouge Beauty popped into Dreamnails in Cavendish to grab a quick Dream Pedicure (R225).

I’m not sure when it happened but the store’s clearly had a makeover. I was also impressed with their huge colour and brand selection. OPI, Essie, NSI, Morgan Taylor… it’s all there and available in every shade, so much so that I had a hard time picking one out.

I eventually ended up choosing an Essie colour called Berry Naughty, a red so dark it might as well be black.

Our pedi included a relaxing foot spa, exfoliation and massage treatment.

The latter party was where, after yakking to the point where I therapists must’ve wanted to stab themselves in the eyes with a cuticle stick, we all started slurring and then shut up completely. Total bliss! Oh! And the results where great too.

After our pedis, the girls and I decided to pop open a bottle of bubbly I’d brought along at nearby Col’Cacchios. Lauren did the honours but got a bit carried away, hopping up onto the table to twerk* while shaking the bottle like she was at the blerrie Grand Prix before spray-popping it all over our table as well as a few shocked, innocent diners in close proximity.

The whole experience was basically like trying to eat dinner in the Splash Zone at Sea World. At least that’s what I can remember. Things got a bit blurry after borrel nommer twee and now Lauren’s insisting she was perfectly well behaved and that I must’ve dropped the bottle like a dumb ass while in the bathroom before handing it over to her innocent, unsuspecting hands. Hmmm. All I’m saying it who are you going to believe?
