I’m exposed to a maddening amount of media so I can’t remember where I first saw Beanies flavoured coffee but I do recall going ‘Ooooh! I’d love to try those!’. I’m a big fan of flavoured coffee and have been drinking Maxwell House French Vanilla for a thousand years as my fabtastic American aunt always brings it with her when she comes to visit.
So, when this dude rocked up I was totally thrilled.

For those who’ve missed out on the hype, Beanies is the UK’s number one flavoured coffee brand that’s now available in SA, exclusively at Checkers for R39,99 a pop. Unlike the coffee and creamer mix of Maxwell House, Beanies is plain ole’ freeze dried coffee meaning there are just 2 calories in cup.
Checkers also sent me the most delicious red velvet cheesecake to celebrate World Baking Day (the 17th of May) and this went down a treat with the coffee.

I’ve had a bit of a field day in trying all the flavours and, as it turns out, the two I like best are those I didn’t think would be favourites at all – Chocolate Orange and Irish Cream. To me, the way Beanies channels chocolate is awesome. It literally smells just like Cadbury’s Caramello bear! I’m assuming I’d love the Double Chocolate variant too but my evil cousin grabbed it within moments of its arrival and I never saw it again.
As for Irish Cream, it’s got that real ‘Baileys’ aroma and I love that as I’m quite the sucker for cream liqueres. To me, a little Amarula on ice is still one of the nicest desserts around.
Thanks Checkers! You can rest assured that once my Beanies babies run out, I’ll happily be tossing more into my trolley.
Love, love

A friend of mine gifted me with a pop in Beanies Nutty Hazelnut flavour. I’m a coffeeholic through and through. I could not wait to get home and try my new-found-love! Now I can proudly say, “if you’ve never tasted Beanies Flavour Coffee, you haven’t started living!” Guys, I’m hooked!
