In case you haven’t heard, Azzaro Pour Homme has a celeb spokesmodel in the form of The Vampire Diary’s Ian Somerhalder.

Don’t know about you, but if some hot person got up on my table and smashed up all my glassware I’d march them out my house by the ear and send them a bill. Ian, however, is clearly a nicer person than I am.
For those of you who aren’t familiar with the scent, Azzaro Pour Homme (R575 for 50ml) is a ‘woody aromatic fern’ fragrance that first hit the shelves in ’78. It’s been reformulated since then to ensure its still current but retains it’s ‘light, depth and sensuality’. Notes-wise, there are actually too many to mention – a whopping 19!
To my nose, however, I get spices, ‘freshness’ and leather that makes me think of words like ‘classic’, ‘expensive’, ‘mature’ and ‘suave’. The image it builds in my mind is that of an older, sophisticated ‘Mediterranean’ man in a suit. And yes, it is pretty sexy. (But if you step on my martini glass, you’re outta here.)
To celebrate the new campaign, Azzaro asks that you take a piccie of your most seductive expression and slap it up on Instagram with the hashtag #AzzaroSelfie. The winning snap will be chosen by Meneer Somerhalder himself and the prize includes a trip for two to a private party in Sao Paulo hosted by the actor on May the 13th.
I was sent me a press pack last week that included two ‘tools of seduction’; whiskey and a cigar to help me get my Somerhalder-worthy smoulder on.

As luck would have it, I actually happen to have a decent whiskey/cigar money shot on hand, taken at a press event sometime last month.

Alas, I’ve just realised that this is the very last day that you can enter the competition. (The press release arrived a few days before I went on leave). Still, you’ll have a good chance of beating out any SA competitors as I see I’m the only local blog to write about this thus far, so best you get snapping girls!
