Nivea have launched yet another shower gel; Supreme Touch Cream Shower, R27,99.
Supreme Touch is more hydrating than most of Nivea’s other shower gels thanks to the inclusion of Shea and macadamia nut oil. It doesn’t create a mass of bubbles but produces a dreamy, creamy lather that delicately cleanses your skin without drying it out.
I like that despite including plant oils, it doesn’t feel oily or greasy in the least. You could easily use it in the bath and then wash your hair in the water without having to stress about emerging a greasy-looking trainwreck. Always a good thing. Also, due to it’s silky texture, I find it does a great job as a shaving foam substitute.
Scent-wise, Supreme Touch boasts a fancy multi-note fragrance that includes citrus top notes, a floral heart and a base of powder and musk. To my nose, however, it smells like a sweet, creamy lily of the valley flower.
If you’re looking to make a seasonal switch to a more indulgent, non-drying shower gel, Supreme Touch is a very nice pick. Next time I spot it in store I’d be happy to toss it in my trolley.
