So the BB creams just keep on coming and the latest to hit the shelves is L’Oreal Revitalift 10 Total Repair BB Cream.

It promises to fight off the signs of aging thanks to an SPF of 15, Pro-retinol A (a less potent, non-irritating version of collagen-encouraging retinol) and Stimulift. The latter is a combination of yeast and soy extract that, L’Oreal reckon, can help encourage your skin to produce more collagen. Soy also has skin brightening properties. Last but not least, L’Oreal have added a touch of foundation to help give your skin a little coverage.
I used it yesterday and liked that it’s one of the few BB Cream’s I can use like a tinted moisturiser in that I don’t need to use a moisturiser to hydrate and create a bit of slip before I apply it. In fact, I could even squeeze it onto my finger tips and blend it out with my finger tips as I would my regular moisturiser; you don’t even need a sponge. If you’re a severe minimalist this is a plus.
As a result of all the above, I consider this a very nice tinted moisturiser; one that hydrates, provides colour and has anti-aging properties. If you’re looking for any kind of coverage, however, this isn’t going to float your boat. It’s super sheer-looking so you can even get away with using it in a shade that’s a little darker than what you’d usually choose and rely on it as a tint more than a foundation.
Keen to try it out yourself? It’s in stores right now going for R189,99.
Love, love
