Just about every brand has a Facebook page right now and most of them are utterly craptastic. Five Roses, however, clearly have someone who’s on the ball editing theirs ‘cos it’s actually kinda absorbing. You can check it out over here.

P.S. Just so you know, my little sister lives in France and has all of Europe’s finest teas on her doorstep but still insists my mother send her Five Roses. (One time she was sent Glen tea by mistake, which she dismisses as ‘kak’, and you’ve never seen a sadder, more dik-lipped gesiggie in all your life.) Apparently Five Roses is her favourite because it’s ‘nice and strong’ and ‘just tastes better’ than all the other SA ceylon teas…
