This year GUESS is turning all of 30 years old. To celebrate, they’re rolling out a new campaign featuring Claudia Schiffer, another fashion icon and one of the very first GUESS girls.

They also held a little bash at their V&A store where local models showed off their new ‘capsule collection’ inspired by iconic pieces from their archives.

Of all the pieces, I was most taken with these sexy skinny leg ‘Marilyn’ jeans (R1 500). They were the first pair of GUESS jeans to be sold in Bloomingdales in the US and every pair sold out within the first 24 hours of hitting the store!

I was also quite taken by this gorgeous little pantent leather handsakkie (R1099) even though it isn’t part of the GUESS capsule collection:
