So Clicks spoilt me disgustingly the other day – remember that groot sak o’ kiffness? Anyway, the last two items I’m going to be chatting about in that stash (before you vomit from jealously) are the Vidal Sassoon Daily Hydration hair dryer (2 200 watts) and Veet Body Duo epilator and shaver which I’ll chat about tomorrow.

Right… now to reveal my secret shame… are you ready for this? It’s super embarrassing and kinda sad, especially if you’re a diehard beauty peep like myself… Ready? Ok, here it goes… (gulp)… I’VE BEEN USING THE SAME HAIR DRYER SINCE I WAS THIRTEEN!

Now, I know… I know… you’re all like ‘why the hell have you been holding onto that sad little Safeway for sooo bloody long?’, but the answer’s kinda simple; it just NEVER BROKE. It always just did the job sommer so and I always told myself, the day he breaks (yip, he’s a ‘he’), I’d go out and replace him, but the dude just kept on going and going and going…

Anyway, he’s now been retired to a drawer. I couldn’t bear to throw him out after all the bad early nineties hair we’d been through together, all that singing in front of the mirror. (‘Saturday night, I feel the air is getting hot… be my baaabyy!’) Now, I’m merrily using my rad Vidal Sassoon number which I adore (and I have MUUUCH better taste in music).

Sooo… let’s chat ‘Reason’s why I think it’s super-kiff’
It looks totally slick. All that purple and black. Oh baby…
Despite being nice and big, it’s not heavy so it doesn’t tire out my gym-deprived arms when I use it.
It dries my hair sooo much faster than my teensy pathetic little Safeway. Funny that…
It has a cold air button. Ooooh. Never had one of those before…

Other reasons to like it
Aside from the cool shot, its got three different heat settings and two speed settings as well as a folding handle making it easy to pack when you travel.
Its powerful ionic generator delivers up to 4 x as many ions as a standard dryer. This helps lock in your hair’s natural moisture, discourage frizz and create a shinier finish. Nice…

The only negative right now is that the cool shot switch is placed right at the top of the handle and I keep putting my hand there and accidentally flicking it on. This is because I’m used to having my hand right under the dryer head ‘cos the handle was so teensy tiny on my Safeway. Reckon once I adjust to holding it lower down, that’ll stop happening.
