I’m ba-aack… and a bit about the L’Ormarins Queen’s Plate…

So did you all have a rocking kersfees? Mine involved waaay too much food (damn ye pasta salad!) so I’m currently stomping the treadmill at gym so as to be able to squeeze into my mooi Queen’s Plate rokkie.

I picked this baby up at YDE.

I think the LQP’s budgets a bit toit this year as I’ve been given Style Lounge tickets. (Oh how the mighty have fallen… Heheheh…) This means I won’t be able to snap and interview le celebbies as they tend to hide out in the expensive exclusive Stud Club where all the free food and booze is. Still, I’ve been living it up in there for the last two years now and can tell you straight up that it’s totally awesome. Aside from as much Peroni as you can drink and a buffet-style lunch, you’ll get to pop into an ‘Elizabeth Arden make-up studio’ which is fancy pants-speak for ‘uber-kiff goodie bag’… If you’ve got the R800 to spring for a ticket, know its totally worth it.

As for me, I’ll be running around in the Style Lounge general access area with a bunch of my girlfriends and we’re all super excited as its always a fun day out. A ticket for this will only set you back R250 and doesn’t include any food or drink. Still, they’ve got bars all over the place and lots of food vendors. (Last year they had seriously fab sushi and I’m sure it’ll be there again…) You’ll also get a race card and access to the evening’s entertainment which includes Tumi & The Volume.

If you haven’t got your tickets yet, hop on over to Webtickets and nab one. Want more info? Visit the L’Ormarins Queen’s Plate website over here.

Love, love

Leigh
