Often, as a journo, you have to interview ‘expert peeps’ for quotes. Thing is, while these people are generally very good at what they do, they’re often seriously shite communicators. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to get ‘creative’ in how I flesh out an answer from a pro… or call them up in a sweat – hours before my deadline – and literally beg for them to expand on their crappy one word answers…

Anyhoo, you can only imagine how Candice Donadel from Mirrors Hair Lab, like, tootally made my day. Had to ask her a few questions regarding a snippet on how to keep your hair colour from fading for Beauty South Africa and she came back to me with the most awesome, fabulously detailed info I’ve received in yonks.
