Love the planet? Adore The Body Shop? You’ll be sure to like their new Earth Lovers shower gels, R65,00.

These babies come in 6 juicy variants (think Watermelon & Eucalyptus and Apricot & Basil…) as well as a fragrance-free version. Each comes in a bottle made from recycled plastic and the shower gel itself is 100% biodegradable, meaning it break down easily in the environment. It’s also free of nasties like parabens, sulphates and colourants as well as soap,  making it perfect for sensitive skin.

I got to try two of them – Lemon & Thyme and Fig & Rosemary. I found the former to be a light, refreshing scent – just the thing to perk you up in the morning or cool you down after gym. Still, lemon lovers might be a little disappointed as the smell isn’t very strong. (To really get your lemon lovin’ kicks, opt for their Sweet Lemon range. It’s my absolute favourite). The Fig & Rosemary version, however, is fabulously fragrant with a lush, sweet scent that lingers delicately on your skin.  

I’m looking forward to going in store to give them all a good sniff and have a great incentive to splurge – if you buy one, you get another for half price! Love that!
