Guerlain’s Spring collection 2011 – I want, I want, I want

Tomorrow, Guerlain’s gorgeous Spring Collection hits the beauty counters! I just can’t wait to fiddle with everything – the colours are sooo me (a cool-toned, pale peeps dream) and the packaging is disgustingly lustable.

Take a look at my absolute favourite item, the limited edition Blush G de Geurlain in Serie Noire, R535,00.

Hotness, right?

I’m a bit confused, however, as to what that pretty ‘G’ stamped into the powder means… Is it for ‘Geurlain’ or ‘Girl, I’m sooo gonna break your credit card…’ 😉

I just know that when I swirl those colours together and sweep them over my cheeks I’m going to look EXACTLY like Natalia Vodianova, the brand’s spokeshottie.

In fact, that piccie’s actually me. Yes, really, it is… I was just having a really good bone structure day…

I’m also loving the three new colours in the KissKiss gloss collection; Fizzy Mango (a pretty pinky-peach shade shot through with gold); Rosy Plum (a shimmering berry hue) and Moka Shake (a sparkly caramel colour).

Guerlain Kiss Kiss gloss in Rosy Plum and Juicy Mango, R325,00 each.
Moka Shake
The darling peeps at Guerlain, knowing I’m a total slet for gloss, were kind enough to give me Fizzy Mango and Rosy Plum. And, because I’m a darling too, I made some swatches for you:
Shot with flash: Fizzy Mango on the left, Rosy Plum on the right
Shot without flash

Inititally, I looked at Rosy Plum and was like ‘Ag nee, there’s nooo way that’s gonna work out for me’. (I’m a fair skinned lass and the shade looks v. deep in the tube… I reckoned it would be best suited to a a dark-skinned gal… or maybe an evil Disney queen… ) Merrily, I found that if I put just a leetle blob on my finger and blended it into my lips, it creates a pretty lollipop-coloured stain effect. Tres mooi.

Keep an eye out for this super-luxurious collection, the limited edition items like the powder are going to sell out in a flash.

Love, love

Leigh
