GRAZIA team up with Clicks to create a range of make-up kits

So Clicks and GRAZIA magazine have teamed up to create a selection of cute li’l make-up palettes and kits. I was sent two items from the range, the first being this boy:

GRAZIA Velvet Effect Party Nails Kit, R169,95.

Included in the box are three nail polishes, two different bottles of ‘velvet’, two brushes and two cuticle sticks.

While the shades are a bit dark for summer I was taken with the berry shade on the far left.

To get the look, simply paint your nails and then, while it’s still wet, sprinkle the velvet which looks like finely milled felt all over your nails. You can then use the brush to stroke it on evenly as well as to remove any traces or fuzz from around your fingers.

The other GRAZIA goodie I was given to play with was the Perfectly Nude kit (R89,95), a palette consisting of three nude glosses, lippies and a ‘bronzer’.

Opening the kit reveals instructions on the left but it bangs on about where to place the ‘hot pink shadow’ so I think there’s been a mix up some where.

Aside from the weird instructions, the palette’s decent enough value in that the shadows are easy to stroke on, serve up good enough pigment and stick around all day when used together with a primer. The bronzer, however, is incredibly pale and frosty which makes it a rubbish bronzer but a very nice highlighter.
