Eucerin Sun Face Creme SPF 50 review

Eucerin sent me the most enormous box the other day. It contained a seriously big ass hat; just the thing to protect my face when I’m lazing on the beach, lapping up the last li’l bits of summer while you’re stuck at your desk.

My being able to do this is one of the fabbest things about being a freelancer. It totally makes up for the odd month when you earn pretty much nothing and get so desperate you start to wonder if you could possibly get away with flogging your flatmate’s leather couch on OLX, telling her it got carried away by a rabid pack of couch-munching city wolves. (This is a thing. They do exist. I promise.)

Anyway, aside from the hat, my pakkie also held the brand’s new super high SPF facial sunscreen, Eucerin Sun face crème SPF 50, R159,99.

Eucerin
Eucerin Sun Creme SPF 50 for face.

Eucerin Sun Face crème is ultra light, fast-absorbing, spreads like a dream and feels almost weightless on your skin. I also like that it doesn’t have any noticeable scent and doesn’t leave a weird white cast after application. (Many super high SPF’s do this. Tres annoying.)

Another plus? It contains two different types of licorice root extract; one that protects your skin’s DNA and repair mechanisms and another that’s a powerful antioxidant to fend off cell damaging free radicals.

In all, if you’re looking for a fab high SPF facial sunscreen, this is definitely a nice pick.

Love, love

Leigh

    1. Nah, I didn’t find it greasy in the least. It made my oily T-panel a tad more dewy than usual after an hour but a quick sweep of blotting powder took care of that in a flash.
