It was a girlfriend’s birthday the other day so I ran off to Lush in the V&A to buy her a bunch of their goodies. Then, ‘cos I’m a kak friend, I reached into the little sakkie I’d created for her and removed the Cinders bath bomb for myself. I just couldn’t help myself; it was simply smelled too good to give away.

To fill you in, Cinders is a seasonal Lush goodie and was inspired by the tale of Cinderella. Lush reckon it’s just the thing to help you relax when you want to escape your ugly step sisters and evil step mom. It’s supposed to evoke the sense of sitting at a crackling fire while sipping a glass of warm Christmassy fruit punch.
Despite my lack of horrible family, I’m competely and utterly obsessed with li’l Cinders. To me, it smells a lot like Chai tea which is one of my favourite things.
Aside from all the sodium bicarb, Cinders’ ingredients include coarse sea salt, gardenia extract, sweet orange and almond oils, cinnamon and – wait for it – popping candy! It starts to pop when you put it in the bath and that’s where they get the whole cracklin’ fire vibe.
If you pop into the shop give it a sniff and then let me know how right I am about its awesomeness in the comments section. And if you do have an awful in-law, did it help take the edge off? Or do you still feel like keying a smiley face into the bonnet of that bitch’s car would be more therapeutic? I’d love to know.
Love, love

I’m so glad I picked this up when I was in CT in December. I haven’t used it yet. It’s hard taking a bath when it’s almost 40 degrees outside. Ha, ha. I love cinnamon and that’s what drew me to it. 🙂
If you like cinnamon you’re going to love it! Will be very sad when this is off the shelves.
Ahem…very funny that you removed the bath bomb from my bday package…BUT I just loved the rest of the goodies (I’m such a bath girl)…as well as my bear….’heart bear’..! X
Hahahah. You’re crazy babe. That evil bear will murder you in your sleep x x x
