Mwhahahahaha… Just when you thought you could avoid all that tiresome Valentine’s day copy every media platform feels obliged to churn out, I go and whip a little up myself…

Essentially, this is my list of awesome shizz to force ask your man to gift you with this V-day. Alternatively, if you’re single, feel free to guiltlessly slap it on your credit card and justify it on how much money you’re saving by not having a boyfriend. (Waxing is expensive, ya’ll…)

Bathtime bliss…
I really like Jo Malone’s Red Roses fragrance but wouldn’t wear it as a cologne; instead I’d like to soak in it after indulging in an uber-sensual Red Roses bath oil. 

Its notes include the scent of seven of the world’s most fragrant roses as well as crushed violet leaves and hints of lemon and spearmint. Seriously, it doesn’t get more indulgent, sensual or romantic than that…

Tasty treats
If you’re going to go the chocolate route, spring for gorgeously packaged decadence from Myatt Cafe & Chocolatier.

Their macaroons are super-pretty too and come in gorgeous boxes of different sizes:

I’m a total slet for fragrance. Of all the scents I own, I reckon musky orange blossom-infused Narciso Rodriguez is the most romantic of the lot. The latest flanker is Narciso Rodriguez for her in colour. (R950 for a 50ml EDT)
It’s very similar to the original, but the amber and vanilla notes are a little more distinct. Also, the bottle’s a mooi-looking hot pink…

Lustable lingerie
I’m crazy about La Senza and always get enticed by their fab undie specials… This V-day, if you buy any two of their gorgeous Perfectly Me bras, you’ll get R100 off!

Pucker up!
If you love lip gloss and lip goodies as much as I do, you’ll be glad to know that the The Body Shop’s new Chocomania range includes a delish choccie-scented ‘lip butter’.

Another lip lovin’special? Mioja, a hot new organic skin care brand, is offering a free lip balm worth R155 to anyone who purchases their goodies to the value of R500. (This runs for the whole February, just so you know…)
