Earlier this year I was introduced to Giovanni Eco Chic organic skincare products and was v. taken with just how delish they all smell. (Think hazelnut and vanilla-scented body lotions and ‘Grapefruit Sky’ 3-in-1’s that act as a shampoo, bubble bath and body wash…) Oooh! And there was this one particular goodie that made every beauty editor in the room SHRIEK with delight; a hot chocolate sugar scrub (R245) that heated up upon making contact with your skin!
Anyway, Mandy, the PR peep for Prana Products, the brand’s local distributor, has told me that Giovanni is now a proud supporter of the Pink Drive. For every one of their D:tox System products sold, a rand will go towards helping out the mobile breast cancer-screening buses. (FYI, this is something that’s going to go on indefinately and wasn’t just an ‘Oh, its October… we’d better throw some kinda big C promo together’ type of thing.) Of everything in the D:Tox System line, I’m most keen to try the Purifying facial mask, R210, as its getting crazy good reviews online.
It contains detoxifying volcanic ash (oooh, so exotic…) and charcoal to draw excess oil and impurities out of your face without shrivelling you up like a prune. It also makes use of two totally hot right now antioxidants; goji and acai berry. Fellow beauty bloggers have been raving about how it leaves your skin feeling ‘ultra clean’, ‘crazy soft’ and ‘glowing’. All good things…

Ja, that scrub is the business. 😉 I also liked how it actually had enough grit in it to ‘SCRUB’, not just float around on top of your skin. Trust me, you’ll dig it. X x x
