Cool thing about the CPA #1

Every now and again I end up buying the sole decent item from a store that’s full of crap. But then I get home and realise the item’s actually just as rubbish as the rest of their stock. So I go in to return it and – quelle horreur – the bastards will only give me a credit note! How much do you HAAAATE that? Luckily, the CPA makes it illegal for peeps to do that. Now, if you return something to a store – even a finicky boutique – they HAVE to give you your money back. Woop woop!

Cool thing about the CPA #2

Vouchers and credit notes won’t be able to expire. The CPA reckons that if you’ve paid money for it, that’s that. It’s yours and you can redeem it whenever you want. (Many stores make a nice turnover from people buying gift vouchers and never redeeming them due to their expiration. But if you parted with your cash and they took it, you should be able to get product in return).

Cool thing about the CPA #3

I saved the best for last… There’s this special registrar thing that you can put your name on (will get the link for you later). Once you’re on it, companies are no longer allowed to call you and offer you stuff like gym contracts or cell phone subscriptions over the phone. It will be, like, totally illegal!
