So MAVALA has a hot new mini nail colour collection called Chilli and Spice that was inspired by far-flung tropical destinations.

Of all the shades, I’m most taken with these boys:

They’ve also added a few more items to their Eye-Lite eye collections and reformulated their super popular Double-Lash serum, a brush on lash treatment that promises longer, thicker, stronger eye lashes and can be used on your eye brows too.

Aside from vitamins and amino acids, the formula also makes use of ‘snail secretion filtrate’ but don’t let that put you off. There’s nothing slimy or gross about it; it just feels like a regular lash serum. While I’m not sure of how snail secretions would benefit lashes, I do know its used in many skin care products in Japan as it’s said to help with skin renewal and skin softening.
I haven’t used it long enough to tell if it works or not (MAVALA says you have to give it 30 days) but you can check out the reviews on Makeupalley.com over here. From my side, I can tell you that the mascara-type wand makes it easy to comb through your lashes but difficult to get it near the roots which is where you’d expect to put a lash growth serum. Anything that would affect their growth needs to hit up the roots. It is, however, super easy to comb it through your brows and I now wish to God my beloved RapidLash treatment offered a comb as well as their thin lash line brush as I primarily use it to fill a little gap in my one eye brow.
Other new goodies? MAVALA’s Eye-Lite Waterproof mascara is now available in not one but two new shades of blue; Glacier Blue which is bold and bright and Night Blue which is more on the navy side of things.
The curved wand makes it easy to apply and I was impressed with this mascara’s definition. And yes, once it was on, it sat vas.

Last but not least, I was very impressed with MAVALA’s new eye make-up remover gel.

It’s a special soothing formula that feels like a balm and takes off sommer anything. I’ve been using it to remove both waterproof mascara and those almost impossible to get off longwearing lip colours. (L’Oreal have created a new one that’s especially fierce which I’ll blog about soon.)
Does anything here sound like something you’d be interested in? You’ll find everything in stores like Dis-Chem, Clicks and selected pharmacies as I type.
Love, love

Oh Leigh, I’m posting in the wrong place. I seriously need help with skincare products. I have tried Clinique, Avon, New Skin and so many different ones. I just cannot seem to find something that improves my skin overall. I have an oily T, sensitivity on my cheeks (broken capillaries), dry on my cheeks as well, and the rest is pretty normal. I don’t know what on earth a person would call my skin type. Would you help me, please? What should I use? Hope you can help. Thanks a bunch.
