Bacne meet your match – Yardley Oatmeal Spot Clear Spot Buster body spray

If you struggle with bacne (spots on your back) or anywhere else on your body for that matter you’ll appreciate this guy:

Yardley Oatmeal Spot Clear Spot Buster body spray, R74,95.

It’s about time we got an affordable spray-on zit zapper; they’re all over the shelves overseas but the only one I can think of off hand that’s available in SA is Dermalogica’s Clean Start All Over Clear that, at R200, is kind of expensive.

Yardley’s spritzer contains alcohol* to dry up the spot as well as AC.NET, a relatively new spot-busting complex that, aside from having anti-bacterial properties, can also slow down oil production and act as an anti-inflammatory.

Nice one Yardley! I’m quite sure this one’s going to fly off the shelves.

Love, love

Leigh

*Yes, yes, I know… I always blab on about how bad it is to put alcohol on your skin and yes, that’s totally true. Alcohol, when used repeatedly (like in a toner) will dry you out. However, when you’re actively treating and targeting a spot, alcohol is your friend because you want to dry the sucker out. As long as you use Yardley’s spritzer to treat an active spot and not every bloody day as a preventitive measure, you’re going to be a-okay.

  1. Just a head up guys if you read the bottle this product CANNOT be used on your face. It is only for your body! 🙂

    1. Hey Brian! If you’re really struggling, try Differin gel. It dries up anything and works super fast. It’s about R200 or so and you need a prescription to get it but I’ve always managed to find a dodge pharmacy that’ll hand it over without one. (I went through a phase were I lived in a house without a shower and all the lying in the bath with conditioner on my hair ended up causing my back to explode. Differin gel was the only thing that sorted me out chop chop.)

      1. Thank you Leigh, does it work for the dark marks as well and can you give me a pharmacy’s name where i can get hold of this stuff?
        Many thanks 🙂

      2. The best way to clear up the marks left behind after a break out is with AHA’s like glycolic acid. I love Environ’s Dermalac and buy it from Sorbet. It speeds up your skins natural exfoliation process so this means marks disappear faster. Also works like a bomb to remove old self tan and treat ingrown hair or leg or arm bumps. It’s the best. Will mail you directly re a pharm, don’t want to get anyone in trouble.

  2. Hi Leigh hope you well, I was looking into a sunless tanner & instant bronzer from Palmers for the acne spot on my back just to get it away.Tell me is it any good or will it break out more ?I am really desperate at this point,Please give some advise on this one?
    Many Thanks
    Brian.

    1. Self-tan shouldn’t irritate spots. I break out on my chest every now and then ‘cos I often use the fancy serums I’m given in that area if they’re too rich for my face. Feel at least that way I can get some use out if them. But ja, when that happens I drown myself in self tan and nobody notices them. A good one that won’t break you out and isn’t too expensive is Caribbean Tan’s mousse or aerosol spray. Did you get hold of Differin gel yet? It’s worth the effort, a total lifesaver x

      1. Weird. It’s so easy fit me to get hold of. Okay, well keep trying. It’s really the only thing that klaps a viciuos spot for me. Good luck!
