Cray-cray for Chanel?

You’ll be glad to know the beauty brand’s gorgeous, much anticipated new make-up collection, Les Perles de Chanel, hits up the beauty counters at the end of this mo on the 28th.

It was only a matter of time until Chanel gave us something inspired by pearls – after all, they’re symbiotic to Mevrou Coco, who was always seen dripping in them as opposed to diamonds. (Apparently she loved their elegant simplicity and their power to illuminate the face of their wearer).

The absolute darling of the collection – and the goodie I’m most excited about – is this gorgeous limited edition eye shadow set, Ombres Perless de Chanel. It contains five iridescent eye shadows that are so creamy in texture that you can apply them with your fingertips.

The shades range from Blanc Pearl, an irridiscent pearl coloured hue, to Gris Noir, a sexy, shimmery black. See that slightly gold-looking shade second from the left? It’s called Rose Porcelain and is actually a bit more pink than it appears in this piccie – the perfect shade to flatter your brow bone, regardless of your skin tone. I also like that at R575,00, it’s an affordable indulgence. After all, eye shadow lasts for aaaages…

I’m also loving their sure to be sold out zexy black nail polish – Black Pearl.

The press release describes it perfectly, calling it a ‘pearly grey shimmering with deep blue and green reflections like a black pearl from the Pacific’. I can sooo see it on the fingertips of Kim Kardashian.
