MAC Cosmetics is known for their fab collaborations and this year’s most successful is, without a doubt, their Riri Hearts MAC Fall collection. According to the local MAC PR peeps, pretty much everything sold out in hours.

Anyway, because they’re Awesome with a capital A, MAC decided to treat a bunch of us ‘beauties’ to the Rihanna Diamond’s World Tour concert in Cape Town. We started out with drinks at the 15 On Orange hotel where we oohed and awwed over some of the girls’ celebratory Rihanna-style manis.

We then got whisked to the stadium in a limo-freakin-sine. But that’s not even the best bit; our ride was filled with bubbly!

Once we got to the stadium we got to sit in a fancy pants suite and watch the show from up on high with our very own bar and buffet. (The Thai green chicken curry was particularly delish.) While the general consensus is that Riri kind of phoned it in a little, I had a jol regardless. MAC’s spoilage will definitely have me thinking twice about if I can deal with getting trampled on in the Golden Circle come Madonna’s MDNA concert next year.

After the show, we all got stuck in the most horrendous traffic ever which wasn’t too terrible ‘cos hey, we were in a limo and still had a bottle of unopened champers to help us pass the time. Still, a massive Noddy badge goes to Kerri Brodovsky from The Beauty Bulletin. Girl might as well have a Prison Break-style map of the Atlantic Seaboard on her bod as she managed to lead our driver via a sneaky back route that saw us beat the gridlock. If I ever end up on Survivor, trust me, you want Kerri on your team. However, should you ever want to start a Bruno Mars cover band, Good Housekeeping’s Cathi Trevor is your girl.

A big fat dankie to Malaika and Michelle from MAC, this was a shiny, bright diamond of a night out. (Come on, I had to weave it in somewhere!)
