Today sees the launch of Clarins’ new autumn make-up collection Ombre Minerale.

Obviously it includes the obligatory completely lustable limited edition powder compact, le Colour Accents palette (R375).

There’s also a new limited edition Instant Definition mascara in a shade called Instense Plum, R255.

Just so you know, this is a great mascara. It volumises and defines and compliments all eye colours. In fact, it’s such a brown-y purple, if that makes sense, that you’re not really going to have friends go ‘Oh hey, are you wearing plum mascara today?’
The other new goodies included in the look are ten new Mineral eye shadows (R225 each) which are permanent additions to Clarins’ line up as well as four new shades of Rouge Prodige lipstick (R235). The shadows are enriched with Sea buckthorn seed oil, a soothing antioxidant, and can be used wet or dry.

I was given the lippies to play with along with a few of the shadows and wasted no time getting swatchy swatchy.

The lippies are fabulous; pigment rich and lustrous-looking and feel soft and creamy on your lips. The shadows look a lot sheerer on your skin than they do in the pan but can be built up with several strokes and have a nice satin finish.
Look out for Clarins’ Ombre Minerale collection in stores as of today. And if you’re feeling the love for that limited edition Colour Accents palette be sure to snap it up fast before it’s out of stock.
Love, love
