Bobbi Brown’s 2012 holiday collection, Caviar & Oyster, is about to hit the beauty counters tomorrow. The products are just as indulgent as the name suggests with the star of the show being the Caviar & Oyster palette, R795.

The shadows on the left hand side are more suited to creating a soft, pretty day time look while those on the right are ideal to create a sexy, smoky eye; perfect for the party season. In each ‘quad’, you’ll find two shimmery shades and two that are more matte/satin.

Ballet Sparkle, the highlighter, is very shimmery so I’d be nervy to use it on my face (sparkles highlight your every single pore) but it looks gorgeous under the arch of my brows.
The collection also includes five limited edition lip glosses (R250):

The glosses are all non-sticky, sheer and super sparkly save for White. Each one is designed to be worn alone to give your lips a pretty, translucent sheen or on top of a lip colour to give it a little sparkle or lustre. I was given Moonlight Pearl which I thought would look dull and weird on my lips but it’s just the opposite. If worn over my usual fuschia-coloured lip stain, it tones it down to create a more subdued, cool-toned opalescent pink; just the kind of shade you’d want to rock with a smoky eye.

The White gloss, however, made me curious. Could it ever be flattering? As it turns out, yes. It’s not a horrid, stark Tippex-inspired or milky white but rather a lip brightening, diaphonous veil. I found a great shot for you to check out on Swatchgirl.
Oysters & Caviar also includes a very sexy limited edition Shimmer nail polish in Black Pearl (R210):
