October is Breast Cancer Awareness month in South Africa. One of the many beauty brands doing their bit to assist the cause is Revlon who are a sponsor of Cancer.vive. Last month, the organisation held their annual motorcycle tour in which cancer survivors and celebs rode through Gauteng and Mpumalanga to help raise funds for the cause. To help raise awareness for the Cancer.vive, Revlon sent me a couple of their nail enamels in the organisation’s colours and challenged me to create a ‘nail look’.
As it turns out, my nail art skills are pretty kak but hey, I tried:
The colours I used are as follows: Revlon Top Speed fast dry nail enamel in Bubble (hot pink on nail bed and as dots on the gray colour), Revlon Top Speed fast dry nail enamel in Ocean (metallic blue on tip) as well as Revlon nail enamel in Mischievous (gray).
I’d actually used a competitor brand’s fast drying nail polish just the other day and really didn’t like it. It had a weird Tippex-like quality. Revlon’s, however, is very, very nice. I’m definitely going to be wearing Bubble on my toes next time I hit the beach.
If you want to help support Cancer.vive yourself there are a few ways to do it. For one, you can buy an item from their online shop…
…or make an online donation over here.
Love, love
