Whenever my American aunt comes down from Seattle she always brings a ridiculously awesome gift along. That’s how I got to discover DuWop’s Lip Venom (probably the best plumping lipgloss I’ve ever tried) and got my mitts on Benefit’s Benetint before it was available in SA. This year, however, she outdid herself with Deborah Lippmann’s Addicted To Speed ultra quick drying top coat.
You have NO IDEA as to how fabulous this is! It literally converts any nail polish you own to one that literally dries in seconds without skimping on the gloss. How does it work? Paint your nails, wait two minutes and then slick on a thin even coat. Within two minutes they’ll be dry enough for you to fish your keys out your bag.
The only downside? It does cause a bit of shrinkage if you use too much of it. (You know… when the polish contracts a bit so that you can see the tip of your nails?) Still, this doesn’t always happen and it’s the teensiest price to pay for such a crazy quick dry time. In fact, just this morning I sat in the car outside my office, repainted two nails that had chipped, applied the top coat and waltzed into the office ready to tik, tik, tik… (As in type… not take drugs.) But either way, there’s no doubt about it, I’m TOTALLY ‘addicted to speed’!
Anyway, I tried to buy another bottle off Deborah’s website earlier (it’s going for $20) but see she’s all sold out (but of course!) and doesn’t deliver to SA so I’m going to be snapping one off Ebay. I see I can pick it up for a mere $23.18 (+- R196) including delivery. Mooiness!
